Be Honest with God

BE HONEST WITH GOD.

Approximately a year after King David had broken many of God's commandments, he finally gets honest with God and confesses his sin. (2 Samuel 12 and Psalm 51) We infer from Psalm 51 that a year away from God was a miserable year for David. Let's not let sin fester in our lives.
God invites us to come to Him:
- 1 John 1:9 (KJV) — “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
- Psalm 32:5 (KJV) — “I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid… and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”
- Proverbs 28:13 (KJV) — “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
- Psalm 103:12 (KJV) — “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
- Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) — “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…”
- Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) — “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
- Psalm 51:17 (KJV) — “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”
- Romans 8:1 (KJV) — “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”
