Taste and See that the LORD is GOOD!

TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!

Psalm 34:6-10 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

It is good to give God praise for His goodness! It is even better to be more specific and give God praise for His goodness that you have personally tasted and seen. Name those attributes and activities of God that have affected you and thank God for those things.

In Psalm 23 David speaks specifically of green pastures, still waters, restored soul, paths of righteousness, God’s presence, God’s comfort, and God’s anointing. As David contemplates God’s goodness to him, he says, “My cup runneth over.”

Are you feeling faint and weary? King David credited his faith in the goodness of God for getting him through those times.

God is Good ALL the Time!
