OUR BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR

OUR BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

David had just one thing that he desired, to behold the beauty of the Lord.

What is the one thing you desire?

How do we see God’s beauty?

We see God's beauty in and through Jesus Christ

  1.  The way he talked to the woman at the well and the woman caught in adultery.
  2. We see beauty in Jesus teachings.
  3. The way he talked to those who tried to trick him with their words.
  4. The way Jesus took a towel and washed His disciple’s feet.
  5. We see beauty in Jesus choice of disciples.
  6. not the choice of most kings
  7. common folk
  8. a publican and a former nationalist rebel
  9. We see beauty in Jesus fulfillment of all prophecy.
  10. We see beauty in Jesus love for us in going to the cross, dying, and rising again.

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

We need to marinate our heart in the beauty of God. We need to be enthralled with his beauty. God is full of mystery and wonder. His beauty should arouse our soul. We should have a passion to discover more of His beauty. There will always be more to discover and learn about God.
