Happy 64th Anniversary

In celebration of 64 Years we will be having lunch on the grounds after the AM Service.

Visiting preacher Wayne Hardy had many good things to say about the testimony of our church. He then gave us an anniversary challenge on Wednesday night from the following verse:

1 Chronicles 29:18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

This was part of David's prayer regarding the Temple that his son Solomon would build. The Temple represented God's presence among His people. David desired that God would cause the people to imagine and continue to imagine the Temple in all its glory for God.

Brother Hardy then made application to our church, that we need to continue to imagine the future of New Testament Baptist Church. There are many things we can set our imagination upon. Each Sunday School teacher can imagine what God can do with their students. Each of us can imagine the future of our outreach, our mission's program, our church unity, the spiritual growth of our members, etc.

The children of Israel lost their imagination for the things of God and lost their Temple. God loves New Testament Baptist Church. He has a plan for our future. Let's continue in the work of the Lord with great expectations!
