God's Faithfulness to His People
God’s Faithfulness to His People

Jer 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; …
In chapter 30 of Jeremiah, we see God having Jeremiah write these promises in a book. Many thousands have already been removed to Babylon, and God takes credit for that, but God also promises to restore the nation. Some of these promises were fulfilled after 70 years. Others remain to be fulfilled during the time of Jacob’s trouble during the Great Tribulation.
God promises to restore the health of the people …
· Because their bruises were incurable. V. 12
· Because there was no one to bind them up. V. 13
· Because there was no medicine that would heal them. V. 13
· Because their lovers were gone. They had no one to plead their cause. No human advocate. V. 14
· Because God wounded them, only God could restore them. V. 15
The people were the cause of their sorrow. V. 15 speaks of the multitude of their iniquity and the increase of their sins. God brought these wounds upon His people because of their sins.
Yet, God is faithful, and He will restore. Jer 30:22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Let’s remember that the wounds of our own sin can only be healed by God. We must go to Him. Jesus Christ is our advocate. 1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
