Know Jesus

Know Jesus

Do you know Jesus?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the world's most important message.

The word “gospel” means “good news.” The good news is that Jesus has provided a way for you to be saved from your sin and to have a personal relationship with God. By believing the gospel, you can know that you will spend eternity in heaven with God. Here is the gospel of Jesus Christ in four simple truths:

God created you and wants a personal relationship with you.

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth… hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us…” − Acts 17:24-27

Your sin--the breaking of God's law--separates you from God.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one… For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…” − Romans 3:10, 23

Because God loves you, He sent His Son to pay for your sins.

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” − Romans 5:8
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” − John 3:16-17

Jesus died on the cross to provide a complete payment for your sins, and Jesus rose from the dead to reveal God’s power over sin and death.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” − Romans 6:23

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” − 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

So, how can you know Jesus?

Jesus is alive today, and He is willing to save anyone who will call upon Him for salvation.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” − Romans 10:9-10, 13
