TODAY: Evangelist Larry Clayton
Please welcome Dr. Larry Clayton to our pulpit today. His ministry began in the Akron Baptist Temple in 1952. This Man of God has been in the ministry for 65 years, preaching in 80 Mission fields around the world and has had a part in planting over 100 churches in America. Besides holding two honorary doctorate degrees, Dr. Clayton is a graduate of the Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri. Larry and wife, Lois, are members of the Cleveland Baptist Church in Cleveland Ohio. Ministering to us today, Brother Clayton will also be the principal Preacher at the Church Builders Conference here tomorrow at 7:00 PM and Tuesday at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Arizona Independent Baptist Fellowship Meeting
Church Planter’s Conference
Dr. Larry Clayton
Monday and Tuesday, June 5-6
The two-fold purpose of the statewide bi-monthly meeting of Pastors is 1) to encourage Men of God to obey their calling to preach and teach without compromise the inspired, preserved Scriptures, and 2) to challenge Men of God to lead their congregations to plant new Gospel-preaching, separatist Baptist Churches as home-missions projects.
Out wonderful Choir will be singing and of course, the Church family is invited. Scheduled times: Monday (7PM) and Tuesday (9AM-Noon & 7PM). Meals will be prepared for out-of-town guests only. If you can’t attend, will you pray for this special event that will eventually get unsaved folks saved and God’s people edified.
Be reminded: your very own New Testament Church was at its “planting,” a home-missions project. Fifty-eight years ago, other Churches and Pastors invested in this ministry that has spiritually impacted you and yours and countless others.
Jesus declared; “… upon this Rock [Christ – 1Cor 10:4]
I will build my Church; and the gates of Hell
shall not prevail against it.” (Matt 16:18)
Paul taught: “… Christ also loved the Church,
and gave Himself for it.” (Eph 5:25)
If Jesus Christ builds and defends and loves and gives Himself to His Church,
You should build and defend and love and give Yourself to His Church, also!

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR A CHURCH TO BE PROPERLY CONSTITUTED?
The book of Titus was written to instruct in the proper organization of churches. There were believers in Crete, but there was still something lacking: They needed to be organized into N.T. churches (Tit 1:5). According to Titus, the following are necessary for a proper church:
(1) A proper Gospel (Tit 1:1-3). The one true Gospel is eternal life through faith in the grace of Jesus Christ. It is grace alone and faith alone without admixture. Anything else is cursed (Ga 1:6-9). The sound Gospel also calls for sound ordinances that symbolize the Gospel-believer’s baptism as symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Ro 6:3-5), and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial meal symbolizing Christ’s atonement through His shed blood and broken body (1Co 11:23-26).
(2) Proper leadership (Tit 1:5-9). The only proper leaders for a N.T. church are the pastors, also called “elders” (Tit 1:5) and “bishops” (Tit 1:7). A church is not to be run by a denominational hierarchy.
(3) Proper doctrine (Tit 2:1). A N.T. church is grounded in the whole counsel of God (Ac 20:27; Mt 28:20), in sound doctrine pertaining to Christ, God, Man, Sin, Death, Heaven, Hell, Angels, Prophecy, the Church, and every other Bible truth.
(4) Proper living (Tit 2:2-12). A N.T. church will manifest godliness in Christian life and service.
RU Meets Fridays at 7 PM / Sundays at 9:30 AM – Everyone is welcome. We especially need a van driver for Friday nights.
RU has a great curriculum for the study of the fruit of the Spirit and fruits of righteousness: Some RU Definitions from our curriculum: Dependability is when our ability is not hindered by our occasional instability. Inconsistency is when our stability is always pending accountability or availability. — Come join us!
After each service, we make available to families in need of a bag of non-perishable groceries (limited to one bag per month). To help us keep our pantry stocked we welcome you to bring in non-perishable items. We do not need any vegetables at this time. We are short on peanut butter and canned meats such as tuna, chicken, Vienna sausage, spam, etc. Please bring your items to the front foyer and let an usher know. Richard and Judy Sabin oversee this ministry.
Please look at the expiration dates. We cannot give out expired food items.
