Pastor’s Notes – Bulletin for Sunday, May 24

Dr J. C. Joiner 2May 24, 2015

Memorial Day

A Day to be thankful to God for our country and for those who have served our country in the military.

It is more important than ever for us to have a strong military. There are dozens of wars going on all over the world. Many threats have been made against the United States. We must keep our military strong and be prepared for whatever just battles come our way.

Though we properly prepare for battle, we must depend on God. We cannot use God as a rabbit’s foot for luck. Many of the problems that America is facing are due to the wrong choices that Americans are making. If God is against something we should be too. God promises to bless righteousness. We must pray for revival in our country.

Proverbs 21:30-31 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

Dr. Lou Baldwin

Dr. Lou Baldwin will be speaking in all of our services Sunday, May 31: 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 6:00 PM.

Lou Baldwin is founder and Pastor Emeritus of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia, where he pastored for thirty years.

Dr. Baldwin’s heart for church planting has taken him throughout North and Central America, Europe and the Caribbean. Under his leadership and example more than 300 men have surrendered to preach and twenty-seven churches have been established. These churches along with Crossroads collectively give more than one million dollars annually for world missions.

His personal burden resulted in the inception of the Conference on Evangelizing Black America (COEBA) in 1994. As founder of this movement, he pilots an international effort to plant New Testament Baptist churches in black communities.
