Real Revival Is What Happens Following Special Meetings
This problematic nation is much like troubled Israel during the ministry of Christ’s predecessor. Referring to John the Baptist, Scripture declares “… he came, preaching …” (Luke 3:3) Likewise our Evangelist Paul Schwanke “came preaching” for us and to us. All who took time and gave effort to hear God’s man, were stirred by six Spirit-filled Bible messages that enlightened us to understand our God’s holy ways and that enabled us to gain a deeper appreciation of His love and mercy and grace to sinners like us. Surely being challenged by the application of truth, each of us making heartfelt vows and genuine promises to the Saviour, are now obligated by our word to follow through with prayerful commitments. After the moving event of last week (and I’m not referring to the “Presidential Debates”), you are obligated to be “… doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). The Apostle Paul, by inspiration, said it this way: “Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have” (2 Cor 8:11).
