Pastor’s Notes – Bulletin for June 12

Anticipating the Return of the King in 2016

 “Surely I come quickly.”

“Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Rev. 22:20)

These May Be The Last Days Of Local Church Ministry!

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb. 10:25)

It seems that the ministry of Bible teaching, Gospel preaching local Baptist Churches is increasingly insignificant in this culture, while at the same time, is a very low priority to the majority of professing Christians. Jesus foretold these last days saying, And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold (Matt. 24:12).

Most all Churches have discontinued mid-week services …even the Sunday night service has become an inconvenience! Some churches have instituted Saturday night services, so the membership is free for whatever on Sunday. (Biblically, Sunday is “the Lord’s Day”- not “fun day.”)

The effective ministry of local Churches in America is diminishing to the applause of a worldly culture that does not want our kind of Church, particularly because of our strong conviction of separation from the world-system and godless life-styles. However, our Church family members are constantly asked to counter by being supportive with faithful attendance of both Sunday and Wednesday evening services. As your Pastor, I promise that you and your family will, four times every week, always be fed the Word of God.

Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it (Eph. 5:25). The Church (assembly) is not an eerie paranormal, but a visible and viable house of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15). Being in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17), every born again Bible-believer loves what Christ loves!  It follows then that Christians will love their local Church where they can serve the Lord effectively! The time-limited ministry of New Testament Christians in local Churches ends with the Rapture (1 Thes. 4:13-17).

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:

for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed (Rom. 13:11).

VBS started out well this past Wednesday. Please make sure your children are not missing out. We would also like to have many visitors. This is a great way to get kids from your neighborhood here. All children 4 years old through 6th grade are welcome.

WEDNESDAYS AT 7 PM

Wednesday is a great night to come to church. You will always hear a solid Bible message that will help you stay focused on the Lord during the week. You will also receive the prayer sheet with a missionary letter so that you can pray with us during the week for special requests.

SATURDAY VISITATION at 9:30 AM

We would like to see more people come out to visitation on Saturday mornings. We pair people up by twos as Jesus did (Luke 10:1). Sometimes we go door knocking in the neighborhood. Other times we go visit those who have visited the church. Sometimes we make hospital visits. Do you have Acts 20:20 vision?

Acts 20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
