WALKING IN TRUTH IS IMPORTANT TO OUR GOD … AND TO US

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. (3 John 3, 4)

  1. God is truth. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life … (John 14:6).
  2. God’s truth is more important than His name. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name (Ps 138:2).
  3. Without truth (the Word) there would be no virtue. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true … if there be any praise, think on these things (Phil. 4:8).
  4. God desires to be worshipped, praised and known by His truth.God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
  5. God desires His children to walk in truth. For I rejoiced greatly … of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3John 3-4).
  6. Ultimately, God will destroy all those who reject His truth. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Rom 1:18).

Truth is essential to God! Truth must be essential to us!

ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
