“YOUR CHRISTMAS OFFERING”
The wise men …fell down, and worshipped Him;
and when they had opened their treasures,
they presented unto Him gifts … (Matt 2:11)
Like the wise men of Scripture, we all have an “equal opportunity” to present unto HIM our gifts. Your gift today is one scriptural approach to the true meaning of CHRISTMAS!
For more than 55 years, one of the ways the Church family has worshipped our dear Lord has been to give a special Christmas offering in an amount beyond our weekly tithe and faith-promise. We’ve been so graciously blessed, that every member of our Church family ought to be part of this year’s Christmas giving. The Christmas offering this year is needed to reroof a building and to replenish the General fund for other needs. Praise God … the Mission’s fund is excellent. Use the special offering envelope you should have received by mail, or designate “Christmas” on a regular offering envelope.
God so loved the world, that HE GAVE His only begotten SON,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY
The Good tidings of great joy were made by the angel to the shepherds for all the people of the earth. The message was, Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
- SAVIOR – Jesus Christ saves us from sin’s penalty and power and eventually sin’s presence. He saves us from Satan, death, hell, and the wrath to come. Luke 19:10; Acts 4:12; 16:31; Rom. 5:9; 1 Thess. 5:9; 1 Tim. 1:15; Heb. 7:25
- CHRIST – He is the promised Messiah, the anointed of the Lord, spoken of by the prophets. Psalm 2:2, 16:10, Isaiah 11:1-5; 42:1-7; 61:1-3; Daniel 9:25, 26 and others.
- LORD – He is the second person of the Godhead. He is the creator. We must worship Him. Psalm 100:1; John 1:1-3
This message is to all people (Luke 2:10). An angel announced it to the shepherds, but neither an angel nor angels have been given the command to continue the announcement. We who have been saved have been commanded to give this good message of hope to all people. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-17.
Merry Christmas to Our Dear New Testament Baptist Church Family
As we say every year at this very special season, words are inadequate to express our sincere appreciation for your faithful praying, generosity, awesome support, and assertions of love to us during this Year of our Lord, 2014. And … we’ve been blessed in this ministry of a spiritual family that has had so many to love and to serve! We are not aware of any other Church family that has so thoughtfully and graciously cared for their preacher and wife as you have us. During this glorious joy-filled season, our prayer is that you and yours will celebrate His miracles again and again!
Please accept this as a “Christmas Greeting” from us in lieu of a card in your mailbox …Jacque and Preacher
Recalling That First Christmas Eve
Wednesday, December 24, 6:00 PM
Unless providentially hindered, every member of our Church Family can make a spiritual commitment that being in God’s House is the priority to celebrate the first advent of Christ! A one hour service will prepare us to enjoy and appreciate the significance of the first advent of our Lord Jesus Christ. Encourage family, friends and out of town guests to join this celebration and worship of Emmanuel.
(Please note the time – 6 PM)

Relaxed Visitation Schedule
Due to the flurry of seasonal activities of Christmas and New Year’s, we always forgo the organized Church visitation time on Saturday mornings. Therefore, there’s no regular visitation on December 27th and Jan 3rd. In years past, even if we find them at home, we’ve discovered that people are very much pre-occupied with year-end festivities. However, that should not prohibit each of us individually from making personal calls, text messaging and visits to witness for Christ and to invite the unsaved and unchurched to attend our services during this special time of the year.
Don’t forget to pick up your order today in the fellowship hall after the morning service.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
