“The LORD’S SUPPER”
~ Tuesday, April 11, 7 PM ~
This annual service authoritatively observes the commemorative event Christ initiated at the Passover, the day before His crucifixion and four days prior to His bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 11:18-32).
New Testament Baptist Church members have a scriptural obligation for individual participation in the Lord’s Supper an – annual precedence. We conduct this service in the manner and time that most relevantly follows the Word of God. This memorial service for our Lord, conducted as we do in accordance with the Word of God, is one of the most stirring events in our Church calendar. Please note: this is not an occasion to invite those outside the Church, such as friends, neighbors, personal family members. We do welcome winter visitors of like-faith-and-order who faithfully attend our Church while in Tucson. Tuesday night is not an evangelistic service, nor even a time for members’ fellowship. This is both a time of personal examination and a memorial service of our Saviour as the body of Christ – this local Church.
In these next days – prayerfully prepare your heart to partake of the Lord’s Supper This memorial service starts promptly at 7:00, and will be accomplished without preliminary congregational singing, announcements, preaching. The service is entirely devoted to the Lord’s Supper.
Be early, spending quality time for personal meditation and introspection … let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup (1 Cor. 11:28).
