Be ye thankful (Col 3:15)
Be thankful for that Moment of Obedience. But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Rom. 6:17
Be thankful for the Grace of God. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 1:4
Be thankful for the Spiritual Victory of God. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:57
Be thankful for the Generosity of God. Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2 Cor. 9:11
Be thankful for the Favor of God. Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psa. 30:4-5
Be thankful for the Peace of God. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col. 3:15
Be thankful for the Church Leaders serving. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Heb. 13:7

Join the Church Family
As conveyed by the Proclamation of our first President, Thanksgiving Day is uniquely an American holiday. Historically it was a time to give thanks to God for the bountiful harvest of crops. Traditionally it has been a day when families come together to show appreciation to the heavenly Father.
Here are two suggestions:
This Tuesday night, at 7:00 PM join your spiritual family as we lift up our voices and hearts in praise to our dear Lord and Savior. During this particular week, we purposely move the mid-week service from Wednesday to Tuesday to accommodate family plans of getting together. Statistics verify that more families in our United States join at home on Thanksgiving Day than on any other holiday, including Christmas!
This Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, join your physical family at home to enjoy a wonderful dinner and to thank the God who has wonderfully provided so many blessings of life and living.
Note: There will be no church services on Wednesday, November 22.
Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours.
A well-deserved “Thank You” and heart-felt appreciation to Richard and Kelly Price and to the many “Church-folks” who assisted them and to those who contributed, making the Sunday School campaign a meaningful success. Last Sunday’s climatic Festival that included a host of volunteers was indeed a tremendous winner and a lot of enjoyment for both children and adults!

RU gives you tools to battle victoriously satanic forces that would use bitterness, discouragement, depression, loneliness, addictions, and life’s circumstances to defeat us. We have a great curriculum for the study of the fruit of the Spirit and fruits of righteousness. We minister to all, not to just the addicted. Come visit us.
This Friday, November 24, we are having a Thanksgiving Potluck. Please have your food here and ready to serve by 6:30 PM. We will begin serving soon after.
